finding lost time dbsk 동방신기 mini drama

aish this wouldve made a great movie.

so time for another tvxq / dbsk mini drama as i cant be bothered to do any cleaning or go out and make any use of myself in the real world.

finding lost time is a pair with the uninvited guest both mini dramas have the same time frame and setting - it starts off pretty much the same but in finding lost time you see where micky goes when he f*cks off for that bit in the uninvited guest. did that make sense? probably not.

anyway, it is about half an hour long and features the usual bunch of muppets dong bang shin ki and their manager, this time mainly focussing on micky. unexpectedly who should pop up but sungmin of super junior! yay

ok so basically what happens is...

pretty but sad girlie turns up to tell micky serious face that his childhood best friend not-in-a-gay-way-though-they-look-pretty-gay-and-it-is-sungmin-so-its

gonna-be-camp-and-adorable-anyway-type-of friendshipy-best-friends is dead.

(i think pretty sad girl is the same one from their other mini drama tokyo holiday from which comes my favourite bit in all their dramas when u-know says that shy micky is really a playboy - he spends all night playing tambourine with lots of girls - cut to micky playing tambourine with lots of girls kekekeke)

we see lots of flash backs and its all cute and lovely but also a bit sad and unfortunate. with some great serious faces. check em out:

hero jaejoong gets to come out with the best line in the whole thing when micky asks him would he choose love or friendship i think he says something like its not a choice -the two are always togther you either keep both or lose both. nice.

its all reflecting back on the past of ah sad teary bless em type moments until there is a twsit which i saw coming but still gave a little oooo cheer when it unfirled

yay for dong bang shin ki for being so brilliantly rubbish

yay for sungmin being so awsome

yay for stupid korean pop band tv

damn it i wish they were still togther and making these rediculous shows.

heaven's postman 천국의 우편 배달부 [movie]

im actually just sat here in silence not knowing what to say
i think this is one of the most beautiful films ive ever seen.


this is a telecinema production of south korea also released in japan.
telecinema is produced simultaneously for television and cinema. in korea it is
aired as a short episodic drama whereas in japan it is aired as a movie.



after watching sunao i wanted to see the film that
hero jaejoong had been in, id read reviews and seen it
advertised to watch online on dramacrazy or somewhere like that
so i tracked it down for myself. (i dont stream if i can help it)
i was expecting this film to be good from the reviews
and i had heard that the female lead han hyo joo was really special.
she definately was.



they were the most perfect, beautiful, moving, unintentional couple
i cant really even put it into words.
its like having your heart pulled out and painted with the colours of the sunset



i dont think i could love this film anymore than i do right now but
im sure i will watch it again and find new ways to appreciate it.


hero jae joong plays jaejoon, an angel or ghost (we're not sure at first)
who takes letters of grieving people to their lost loves in heaven.
han hyo joo plays hana, a girl who meets him at heaven's postbox in a field.
she is grieving therefore she can see him, those who have not lost themselves to
constant grief cannot.



they have a lovely argumentative friendship that grows into the most
heartbreaking of soulmate type bonds.
they take on the task together of trying to heal people who seem to be angry
or in constant pain in the letters they sent to heaven,
and the few weeks they spend together begins to heal hana's grief too.



as she opens up to him warmly it starts to show that jaejoon is also in pain
and as his love for her grows its as though he is becoming more and more sad
but also he seems like he has found a comfort in her like he has never had.



its like jaejoon was sent down from heaven but she became his angel.
they save each other while saving everyone else,
its not like ghost whisperer or anything
theyre actually pretty sneaky about how they go about helping people.



it is truly  beautiful - and we all know
i havnt the stomach for really really cheesey stuff unless its so hammed up
that i can rip it to shreds without feeling guilty -
this is not sickly and corny, it is more like a dream or fairy tale.


it is shot with that beautiful korean vision that i just cant explain -
the colours, the scenery, the slow pace and the warmth.
i cant quite believe how lovely it was. im sort of sat here
not knowing what to do now - i kind of want to watch it again.
it only finished 15 mins ago.



this is my perfect kind of film. not just because of the story
but the whole thing - the dream like setting and the obscure reality that you
have to believe in to understand what they are feeling.



that lovely subtle humour from the both of them and their fantastically
perfect lonely gazes and loving interaction - i could have believed they were both
somehow angels i think.without questioning it for a second.



i love the clothes they both wear - even down to that detail it is perfect.



im glad this is korean. i couldnt imagine it any other way.
and i also think they made the best choice in casting these two.



you know that colour the light goes when the sun is setting when youre in a field
in the summer? that gold light that fills the air and makes eveything feel as if it
is made of that colour somehow... thats how this movie feels to me. but im
hard pushed to find sensible words to explain why it moved me.

it is just stunning.

i just cant explain this film and do it any justice.

sunao ni narenakute 素直になれなくて [series]

ok my head hurts now...

the last three episodes of sunao finaly finished. it has taken me so long to get to the end this drama. it was painful from beginning to end- what started off as a general cringe as things went from bad to worse ended in desperate hope that any good could come out of it all.

seki megumi, who plays peach, i hadnt seen before this but have seen since. peach is still my favourite role of hers, though i wasnt sure if i would warm to the character at first. the first darker edge to the series comes from her with a suicide attempt, she is a weak willed person who had the potential to become a character that would just annoy you with her simpering needy behaviour but she just wasnt like that after all.

tamayama tetsuji who i also hadnt seen before is the key member in this drama, linda, who brings all the characters togther. he is also a weak willed soul but it is hidden from everyone at first. linda creates a twitter group of the five strangers due to a work project but it soon becomes a life line of true friends. his character is mostly responsible for my massive puffy red eyes right now.

ueno juri looks so beautiful in this i think it may be my favourite role of hers too. eita spends the whole series in leather trousers looking really really quite awesome, and hero jaejoong looks as he always does - suspiciously perfect (i swear he's too beautiful to be human).

nakaji (eita) and haru (ueno juri) have an iffy first encounter but become best friends almost accidentally. the pair look well suited for each other romantically but it is a completely tangled mess; doctor (hero jaejoong) falls in love at first sight with haru when the twitter group first meet, nakaji has some other crazy stuff going on with another woman, and haru seems to have really fallen for nakaji unaware of how the doctor feels for her.

this is only episode one!

this mess gets more and more tangled and uncomfortable. i actually stopped watching it a few episodes in to have a break from the constant disasters.

it was genuinely exhausting at first.

the more doctor's character developed the more i was rooting for him but the relationship between nakaji and haru was so sweet i was torn. maybe it would have helped if they hadnt got someone as beautiful as hero to play that role -

it was great to see him act so adorkable though, flapping about like a puppy and giggling like an idiot.

ive been waiting for a eita/ueno drama where they actualy manage to get together so when i started to really like doctor aswell i couldnt decide how to feel. it was so frustrating.

i wont say details of who else falls for who but there are quite a few love swaps as you progress through and it left me feeling a little dizzy. i truely loved all five characters so much. i was trying to work out how the writers could make it so every one ended up happy - i was honestly pleading it would be magically all better somehow.

well, i liked the ending but the few episodes leading up to that point made me cry so much that im just glad its over! i feel like i could watch it again and enjoy it now that i know how it all pans out. but then again, it would still make me sad for sure.

a lot of stuff happens with linda that i wasnt expecting that just broke my heart.

i was expecting something like haru rejecting doctor in some epic way for nakaji and feel terrible even though i loved the pair - but really it all went a bit nuts. 

well yes i got to see doctor cry as i thought i would but not over haru - i really dont want to watch hero jeajoong cry ever again, its like watching angels taking bullets for demons - and ive seen eita cry before but my god he made me lose it this time, the man can really sob.

i really have got quite a headache now.

there are lots of fun moments in this drama - there would have to be or we wouldnt love the five so much but having had very close relationships with my own friends and experiencing similar situations i can say it felt pretty real sometimes. if they hadnt been such good actors maybe i would have noticed

how over the top the story lines probably were

but when you look back over your life things do just happen and tangle up like that.

i can do nothing but gush about sunao really, it was brilliant. it was just so nice to watch nakaji and naru's friendship grow but i am truely exhausted from all the ups and downs.

oh yeah, and nakamura yuichi plays haru's younger brother so yay for that too. never get tired of seeing his face.

my favourite bit in this drama you can look forward to is doctor going nuts beating up a load of guys with his brief case. awesome.

DBSK / TVXQ 동방신기 mini drama dangerous love

ah sqeeeeee genius bit of rubbish pop band drama 

dong bang shin ki 동방신기, DBSK or TVXQ however you want to say it are a korean pop band who did a few dramas one of which was dangerous love. its only funny i guess if you know of the band but i wanted to splurge about it  because i love them and their stupid tv shows.

i saw a fan vid someone had done on youtube made from various yaoi boy love movies and noticed jaejoong and junho in amongst clips. i sought out the 5 parts of the original drama with english subs on youtube and laughed solidly for the next half an hour. so glad to be able to stream online from way out in my cabin now otherwise i would never have seen this.

jaejoong sees junho getting "exited" over a yaoi fan fic of the two of them and becomes worried about junho's feelings for him. all the getting too close and tripping over falling into his arms moments are purely to make the fan girls sqeal with hope they might show some boy love but i actually found the outtakes even funnier as jaejoong corpses every five minutes because of junho's oddly quite convincing acting. (^_^)

while those two are d*cking about with each other xiah junsu and changmin get "rescued" by a girl called heebon when they get lost and hurt in the woods one night. left behind, micky yoochun does nothing to mediate between jaejoong and yunho due to the loss of his beloved changmin. it from then on gets all twisty turny and id spoil it if i explained anymore.

its basically pretty stupid but to be honest its funny to know how much jaejoong was squirming inside while trying to act the scenes from the fan fic.

who knew he would turn into such a great actor and later work along side ueno juri and eita in sunao ni narenakute and make me cry.

i dont think you can tell from this (>.<)
