doll master 인형사 [movie]

i want lim eunkyeong to be my doll



i like creepy asian dolls. especially the painted soul filled ball jointed dolls
like the ones in doll master.



 if youre not up to speed with ball jointed dolls
do a google image search - people collect these lifelike dolls, even spend
many many hours painstakingly painting and dressing them, often use them
as models for photography. they are really expensive but very beautiful.




so in the doll master we have another kind of ghosty spirity vengence type movie
this time its got dolls. yay.



(but also an abundance of really annoying actors.)
i would have like to strip this film down to the bare bones and have half of these
characters axed right at the start. the main woman wound me up when she was scared
(that chick does not do fear well - i thought she should hook up with the guy in the
shock labyrinth, they'd make a great f*cking useless couple)



the guys in this movie bugged me too. infact i think i only liked freaky woman,
crazy woman with the damian doll, the chained up guy, mina and the dolls.
the rest of them i could do without.



but ignoring the bad acting from the few idiots running around the mansion
we have a whole bunch of interesting characters including my favourite
mina played by lim eunkyeong. she stars in rainbow romance
with kim kibum and kim heechul from suju (kyaa!),
which im currently watching but didnt recognise her untill i looked her up on dramawiki.
i knew her from somewhere but couldnt place her at all.

on this alone i would watch the film again. i love mina. i want her to be my doll.



there's not much to explain with this film.
it is misguided vengence by someone possessed by a lonely doll
who orchestrates this meeting of people in the mansion
and picks them off one by one. (though some of them not soon enough)


mina turns out to be the childhood doll of one of the group
and is desperately trying to stop her old friend from being slaughtered with the rest of them
(though i wish she'd just let the stupid b*tch die)




there is a man chained up in the basement, and freaky woman in a wheelchair,
dolls in evey corner waiting to grab anyone looking away for a split second,
and a great bit of that idiot woman walking into a room backwards without looking in first
locking the door and then turning round. - really clever. when people are dying and you
are being chased by savage sh*t, i can safely say, dont do that. you utter kn*b.



despite the annoying tw*ts left right and center, i like the film. there were some
great lines from the freaky wheelchair bound woman
"isnt there something you value the most? how would you feel if you lost it?
even those things would feel very sad for losing their owners. things that you
think youve lost sometimes return to the places where you originally
placed them like nothing happened. they return to their rightful owners."
and some really pretty eyes made by mina when she is sad.





im not even going to bother finding out who the rest of the cast were to put in this post,
lim eunkyeong is so under rated in whatever she does that im making this all about her.
i wished this film had been soley based on her character anyway, she was
the best thing about this movie. i wish mina doll was mine.

this has had the top spot on the most viewed posts for ages now

and seen as it isnt a particularly well known movie with big star actors
im wondering why it gets so many views each day.
